World-renowned music festival Celtic Connections has announced an incredible programme for its 2027 edition, as it prepares to fill Glasgow with music, meaning and shared experiences this winter.
From 14 – 31 January 2027, the festival of folk, traditional, roots, world, jazz, orchestral, electronic, Americana and indie music will welcome musicians from over 20 countries, including from across Scotland, Ireland, the US, Canada, Spain, Senegal, Australia, Pakistan, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Sudan, India and Portugal, for its 34th edition.

Across two nights, songwriter, storyteller and festival-favourite Karine Polwart explores the historic and scientific collections at Kelvingrove and Glasgow’s museums, archives and historic sites. The ancient St Mungo’s Well of Glasgow Cathedral speaks, as do the unnamed dead of the Necropolis. Stories of Irish immigration to the city meet its contemporary asylum seekers. And a handful of the most iconic exhibits at Kelvingrove and The Hunterian, from radical rocks, and Roman remains, to Sir Roger the Asian elephant, are conjured in song in one of Glasgow’s most beloved historic spaces. Karine Polwart’s Curiosity Cabinet is a unique curation of Karine’s songs, old and new, as well as traditional ballads and classic covers, all with a Glasgow twist.
