Scotland has many places that would benefit from having a train station.

Some towns and villages are difficult to reach without a car, making it harder for people to travel to work, school or other places.

Building more train stations could improve transport links across Scotland and make travelling easier for local people and tourists.

Here are five places in Scotland who should have their own train station.

St Andrews

Although St Andrews is one of Scotland's busiest tourist destinations, the town hasn't had a train station since its branch line closed in 1969. If you want to get to the Home of Golf by rail, you have to get the train to Leuchars and then get a bus.
