Get ready to step into a world of light and wonder as Edinburgh’s Five Sisters Zoo is transformed into a festive display of light.
FSZ Illuminations make their spectacular return to the visitor attraction this winter in collaboration with the creative minds at Blachere Illumination.
This year’s event promises to be the most magical yet bursting with vibrant colour, dazzling displays, and unforgettable festive charm.
Experience the magic of Zoo Illuminations as you wander through beautifully illuminated pathways and discover dazzling light displays, colourful installations and magical photo opportunities throughout the grounds. With lights covering the whole zoo, there’s something to enjoy around every corner.
Children’s rides will be open throughout the event, weather permitting, as well as a variety of food and drink outlets serving hot and cold food, festive treats, hot drinks, crepes, doughnuts and sweets. A large heated bar area will also offer a selection of food, alcohol and soft drinks.
And you can browse the zoo’s festive market displaying a selection of handmade crafts, zoo vouchers, gifts and seasonal treats.
Santa tickets can be added as an optional extra to your Illuminations ticket or booked separately. Visitors should note that general admission does not include entry to the Santa’s Grotto. Tickets are limited and sold in timed slots.
Each visit includes five minutes with Santa and a small gift per child. The grotto is located outside the main zoo in the car park. Guests may leave the event and re-enter by showing both their general admission and Santa tickets.
The event runs from 20-29th November from 5-9pm and from 3-20th December (Thursday to Sunday) with additional evenings on 21st, 22nd and 23rd December. ASN evenings are Wednesday 2nd and Monday 14th December.
