A vintage and preloved fashion store in Glasgow is inviting students to refresh their wardrobes for less with a discount shopping event this Thursday.

Moxie, based in The Yard Rooms at Rag & Bone in Finnieston’s Hidden Lane, is offering students 20% off all clothing and accessories on 15th October from 11am until 8pm, extending opening hours giving students time to shop around lectures.

Students must register for a free ticket through Skiddle to secure their place and present a valid student card when paying to redeem the discount offer. Tickets are limited to 150.

Moxie stocks vintage and preloved womenswear, menswear, jewellery and accessories, with pieces selected by broadcaster and founder Heather Suttie and partner Gillian Welsh. Brands include Adidas, Barbour, Berghaus, Carhartt, Diesel, Fred Perry, Lacoste, Levi’s, Paul Smith and Ralph Lauren, alongside vintage finds from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Individual pieces, sizes and labels are subject to availability.

Heather Suttie said: “Student budgets are stretched, but that shouldn’t mean giving up on clothes you love. We want to make shopping vintage a little more affordable and give students a chance to find pieces they’ll keep wearing.

Gillian Welsh added: “Come with a pal, have a browse and try something you might normally walk past. From a great jacket, cosy jumper or unique accessory that changes an outfit, there’s plenty of scope to put your own stamp on your wardrobe.”

Peter Green, founder of Rag & Bone, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming students into The Yard Rooms. Moxie brings a fresh mix of clothing and accessories to Rag & Bone, and this is a great opportunity to explore the rails and enjoy the space. Staying open until 8pm means there’s time to pop in after lectures, too.”

The 20% student discount applies to all Moxie clothing and accessories during the event, from 11am until 8pm on Thursday 15 October only. A valid student card must be presented to redeem the discount.
