After a three year hiatus, Elfingrove is back with a spectacular new immersive experience taking audiences on a magical journey through Glasgow’s past, present and future.

What can visitors expect from this year’s Elfingrove show?
Elfingrove is returning to Glasgow with a world class new show at Kelvingrove’s iconic centre hall which will be transformed into a magical grand railway station this Christmas - complete with its own live Station Controller.
The story will be brought to life by 24 state-of-the-art projectors covering an 8k canvas and accompanied by a beautiful cinematic score delivered through individual headsets to create a captivating and completely immersive experience inside the iconic museum.
Breathtaking projections will soar 22.8 metres up the walls — around the height of a seven-storey building — and across the ceiling covering 2,755 square metres of Kelvingrove’s Centre Hall.
Audiences can expect beautiful cinematic scores and jaw-dropping lighting, animation and projection mapping transporting them on an incredible immersive journey.
When does Elfingrove run over the festive period?
Elfingrove runs in the evening from 26th November – 13th December 2026 at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow.
What other attractions will there be at the event?
After the show visitors will step out into the magical Elfingrove Christmas Village to discover twinkling light installations, the Snowglobe Bar and the Elfingrove Express — a miniature land train taking families on a fun-filled festive journey through the village. This year there will be no ice rink, making way for a spectacular brand-new immersive experience inside, and winter village outside.
What food and drink will be on offer?
As well as a whole host of street food, there will be a Snowglobe bar for drinks and a dedicated area for marshmallow toasting.
When do tickets go on sale?
Discounted early bird tickets went on sale this morning at 7.30am exclusively at www.itison.com/elf starting from £12. The fully seated event includes options to upgrade to the best seats in the house or a gold bean bag for the most immersive way to enjoy Elfingrove.
Who created the event?
itison, the Glasgow-based producers of GlasGLOW and itison Drive-In Movies, is investing £2M into this year’s Elfingrove, promising a spectacalar Christmas adventure for all ages.
1,800 hours of animation work went into creating the show with a world-class creative team with individual credits including productions such as Les Misérables, Back to the Future and High School Musical.
The multi-million pound project is expected to create over a hundred seasonal jobs across production, hospitality, operations and guest experience while bringing tens of thousands of additional visitors into the city during the Christmas period.
