Glasgow’s huge Halloween funfair Spooktacular is back on the Clydeside with more than 20 rides and attractions – including a new Ride Roulette feature bringing three different thrill rides to the city throughout October.

The annual event is running at South Street until Sunday 1 November, with four-hour unlimited ride sessions, Halloween entertainment, food, games and attractions for younger visitors.

Now in its sixth year, Spooktacular has added Ride Roulette for 2026, with one space at the funfair changing attraction during the month.

Matterhorn kicked off the event during its opening weekend before Superstar took over from Wednesday 7 October.

The high-energy ride, which combines fast spinning and swinging movement, will remain at Spooktacular until Sunday 18 October, covering the Glasgow October school holiday period.

It will then be replaced by Freak Out from Wednesday 21 October until the funfair closes on Sunday 1 November.

Aimed firmly at thrill-seekers, Freak Out combines high-speed rotation with dramatic swinging movement as the attraction builds towards Halloween weekend.

Spooktacular’s regular line-up also includes the Starflyer, Waltzer, Take Off, Big Wheel, Twist, Dodgems and Matrix.

There are plenty of attractions for younger children too, including the Runaway Train, Mini Ski Jump, Tea Cups, Bungee Trampolines, Family Coaster, Chair O Planes and Monster Trucks.

Away from the rides, visitors will find game stalls, food and drink stands, Halloween-themed areas and spooky photo opportunities.

Face painting is available at weekends, while Halloween characters will appear around the site on selected dates.

During the school holiday period until Sunday 18 October, Spooktacular is open every day with afternoon and evening sessions.

Weekend sessions run from 12pm to 4pm and 5pm to 9pm. Outside the holidays, the funfair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with evening sessions from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Four-hour unlimited ride wristbands give visitors access to participating rides throughout their booked session.

Spooktacular runs until Sunday 1 November 2026 at South Street, Clydeside, Glasgow. Tickets are available in advance through Skiddle, with tickets also available at the gate.
