Locals will have the opportunity to share their views and help shape plans for Hamilton town centre.
Consultation is underway on how Pride in Place funding should be spent to make the South Lanarkshire town a better place to live, work, visit and spend time.
Hamilton Town Centre is to receive up to £20 million from UK Government funding programme Pride in Place for towns and neighbourhoods that need long-term investment.
Hamilton was named as one of 14 areas in Scotland to receive £20 million Pride in Place funding in December 2025.
The funding will be used over 10 years to support local improvements and help improve the centre and everyone who uses the town centre is being invited to take part in the survey.
The survey is available online and a series of workshops and focus groups will take place from the week beginning Monday, September 21 and run for three weeks.
Independent Chair of the Hamilton Town Centre Board, Ronnie Smith, said: “The Pride in Place Programme is community-led – local people will decide how the money is spent.
“That’s why it is imperative that as many people as possible take part in the survey.
“The investment is targeted at Hamilton town centre in order to uplift the area for all of the residents in the surrounding communities - a stronger centre benefits the whole town.
“Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know your views.”
The Hamilton Town Centre Board was set up in June 2026 to develop a long-term plan for the town centre, based on local needs and community feedback. Its role is to listen to local views, agree priorities and develop a long-term plan for investment in the town centre.
£5.8 billion has been committed to transform 284 of the most in-need neighbourhoods across the UK with an aim to building stronger communities, creating thriving place and empowering people to take back control.
