Hamilton’s Avonbridge Hotel officially reopens to the public today following a stunning refurbishment.

The landmark AMA Hotels venue has undergone a complete transformation, creating a modern destination for Scottish dining, weddings, events, celebrations, and luxury stays.

With a fully refurbished restaurant, redesigned dining areas, stylish new interiors, upgraded bedrooms, and refreshed function spaces, every part of the hotel has been carefully enhanced to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

As well as a modernised restaurant and bar areas, a refreshed entrance and conservatory, the hotel boasts stylish and contemporary features including walnut finishes, brass detailing and warm lighting.

The grand opening of the Hamilton hotel also offers a brand-new dining experience combining award-winning Indian cuisine with European favourites, bringing two popular culinary traditions together under one roof.

The chef behind the hotel’s Indian food previously helped achieve a Best Indian Restaurant in Scotland award.

The new Indian menu will showcase aromatic spices, rich flavours and carefully prepared dishes, while the European selection will offer familiar favourites for families, couples and groups.

The dual-cuisine concept is designed to give diners more choice without compromising on quality.

Led by the award-winning team behind Tudor, Mango, Alba, and Crowwood, Avonbridge Hotel combines quality Scottish hospitality, contemporary surroundings, and exceptional food in the heart of Hamilton.

Avonbridge first opened in 1973 under the Martalo family, and the hotel has been a popular destination for generations of Hamilton residents.

A spokesperson for AMA Hotels said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the reopening of the Avonbridge Hotel on Thursday, 15 October. We believe we are bringing something special to Hamilton.

“Having a chef whose previous work has been recognised with a Best Indian Restaurant in Scotland award is a fantastic part of our new offering. Together with our European menu and refreshed surroundings, we want to create somewhere families, friends and visitors can enjoy exceptional food and a warm welcome. We cannot wait to open our doors.”
