People across Scotland have a number of events to choose from this weekend, with festivals and experiences taking place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

In Glasgow, Big City Festival is taking place at Queen’s Park Recreation Ground, Queen’s Drive, Glasgow, G42 8QR, on Saturday. The festival features live performances from acts including Super Furry Animals and Spiritualized, with music fans expected to head to the south side for the event.

In Edinburgh, the International Festival is entering its final weekend, with performances taking place across venues throughout the capital. One of the main venues is Festival Theatre, 13–29 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9FT. The programme includes theatre, music, dance and opera, with this year’s festival ending on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen Whisky Week is continuing across the city until Sunday. Rather than being held at one location, the event is taking place at a number of participating venues, including The Grill, The Albyn, No.10, The Tippling House and Aberdeen Whisky Shop.

The three events offer different options for those heading out this weekend, from live music and performances to whisky tastings and experiences.
