After a live screening of the Opening Ceremony last night, today is the first full day of activities at the Kelvingrove Park Game On Live Site for the Commonwealth Games. The event hub is open between 10am and 10.30pm daily from now until 2 August. 

 

The Game On Live Site is free, inclusive and family-friendly with live screening all of the sporting action from our venues over the next 10 days of Glasgow 2026.

 

It’s also a chance to try some sports for free. More than 20 sports will be represented over the next 10 days, with local groups and organisations offering fun and interactive activities. Come along today to try sports including squash, judo, basketball, cricket and athletics.

 

People can also look forward to trying a range of arts and crafts run by Glasgow-based artists, communities and organisations. Today you can enjoy activities including banner making and lantern making, and there will be face painting too.

 

Finnie the Glasgow 2026 mascot will appear regularly at the Game On Live Site, to welcome everyone and lead fun exercises and activities for all the family. To kick start events today she’s leading a piper parade through the park at 12.30pm featuring some of the performers you can look forward to seeing throughout the day.

 

There will be a range of dance, aerial and movement performances taking place throughout the next 10 days, including opportunities to try out different dance styles.

 

We’ll also have daily opportunities to meet athletes from across the Glasgow 2026 sporting programme – so come along for a chance to say hello to medal winners and athletes every day.
