Hundreds of jobs will be on offer at three Scottish shopping centres this weekend as they host their annual job fair.
Silverburn Job Fair returns on Friday, 25th September from 10am to 5pm in the main atrium, outside H beauty and Zara.
Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, exploring new opportunities or searching for part-time work to fit around your studies, the Silverburn Job Fair is a great chance to meet brands from across Silverburn, including Footasylum, Boux Avenue, Marks and Spencer and Black Sheep Coffee.
Claire, Jack and Amber all attended the 2025 Silverburn Job Fair and successfully secured roles at various brands at Silverburn.
Claire, 21, from Glasgow, is now a Sales Assistant at Boux Avenue. She has been working at Boux Avenue for nearly 10 months, and her favourite part of the job is helping customers find something they love and feel comfortable in.
Claire’s advice for anyone attending the Job Fair is to “go with an open mind, stay positive, and be yourself”.
Jack also attended last year and secured a role at Chisholm Hunter as a Luxury Sales Professional. A typical day for Jack involves setting up new window displays, attending morning meetings with the team, serving customers, following up with clients, and safely putting stock away.
For anyone coming this year, Jack would suggest “being yourself and being confident”.
Amber attended the Silverburn Job Fair last year after leaving school and seeing an advert on Facebook. She was keen to work for Moriconi Italy as she already enjoyed their products. For Amber, two of the best parts of working at Silverburn are the discounts available across different stores, and the convenience of free parking.
Amber would advise anyone coming to “be themselves, not be nervous and speak to as many people as they can”.

Frasers Plus Braehead’s annual recruitment event runs today (September 22) and tomorrow (September 23) from 3pm to 7pm at the central atrium [outside JD].
Retailers including M&S, JD, SuperPark, The Entertainer, River Island, Menkind, Kiddie Boutique, Hotel Choclat, plus more will be recruiting for various part-time, full-time, temporary and permanent positions available.

Glasgow Fort annual jobs fair has more than 100 vacancies available.
Taking place on Wednesday, 23rd September, the free event will give people looking for work the chance to meet employers face-to-face, find out about roles across a range of sectors and access free employability advice.
Among the businesses recruiting for full-time, part-time and seasonal vacancies are Wagamama, Smyths and JD at the centre, as well as Woodend Bar, Arnold Clark, Wheatley Group and Security Scotland.
The jobs fair forms part of Glasgow Fort’s long-standing partnership with Easterhouse-based charity FARE Scotland, which delivers free employability support from its hub at the centre, helping local people build skills, access training and move into employment.
FARE Scotland’s Employability Key Workers will also be available to provide practical support with CVs, job applications and interview preparation.
Training and employability providers including All in Glasgow, Street League, JBG, NHS Apprenticeships, Chamber of Commerce / DYW and FARE Scotland Volunteering will also be in attendance, offering information on training, apprenticeships, volunteering and other routes into work.
Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: “We’ve been working with FARE Scotland to support local people into employment for five years, and during that time hundreds of people have been helped to take their next step into work.
“Bringing employers, training providers and practical support together in one place makes it much easier for people to find out what roles are available and have those important first conversations. Whether they know exactly what they want to do next or are still working that out, we’d encourage them to come along to the event.”
