Proposals for East Kilbride Town Centre are structured around the methodology for High Street Regeneration that South Lanarkshire Council developed with the Scottish Government.

M Core, has acquired East Kilbride Town Centre. The acquisition is the third Scottish shopping centre to join the M Core portfolio in three years, alongside Princes Square by M in Glasgow and The Centre, Livingston and strengthens the collective’s long-term commitment to Scotland.

The vast destination, spanning 1 million sq. ft. features a diverse mix of more than 100 brands, including Primark, New Look, JD Sports, Waterstones, Pandora, Costa Coffee and Nando’s, and welcomes over 7.5 million visitors a year.

Complementing its retail offer, the shopping centre also has an entertainment and community hub which includes an Odeon Luxe cinema, a full-sized indoor ice rink, Carlton Bingo, a 24-hour PureGym, a children's nursery, and a local library.

Sebastian Macdonald-Hall, Chief Investment Officer (Europe) said: “The acquisition of EK, East Kilbride, represents a defining milestone in our ongoing expansion across the Scottish retail landscape, marking our third premier shopping centre investment here in three years.

“We are very excited to build on the existing foundations to enhance the shopping centre over time by creating a more cohesive retail and leisure experience, bringing genuine long-term success and vitality to the local area.”

Three of the sites focus on diversifying and repositioning the Town Centre whose purpose is to offer so much more than a mere Shopping Centre but an environment that serves its community.
