American television writer Phil Rosenthal brought his popular Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil to Scotland in July 2023 when he visited spots in Glasgow, Edinburgh and The Isle of Skye.

Reflecting on making the episode in Scotland, Rosenthal said: “No surprise Scotland is as stunning as ever. What you will find surprising is the food.”

Here are Phil Rosenthal's favourite Scottish restaurants and distilleries.
