A magnificent C-listed mansion house in East Renfrewshire is opening its doors to the public next month.

 

Eastwood House will offer visitors a window to its past life as a private estate on Sunday, September 6, as part of Doors Open Day.

 

The beautiful building situated in Eastwood Park today functions as a popular community hub.

 

With its grand sweeping staircase and beautifully appointed rooms, it provides stunning surroundings for a growing programme of arts and heritage events and activities.

 

Wedding ceremonies and receptions, social events, meetings and conferences are all held at the striking venue.

 

To celebrate Doors Open Day 2026, East Renfrewshire Council are offering the opportunity to learn about this grand mansion house.

 

Join the guided tour to discover their stories, admire the stunning architecture, and celebrate the house’s vibrant role today as a busy community hub.

 

The house will also be open on the day to visitors who prefer to look around on their own, no booking required, rather than as part of a tour.

 

The lands of Eastwood including Eastwood Park were originally owned by the Earl of Eglinton.
