The Fratellis have cancelled their headline gig at the home of the Kelpies after a dispute with the event’s promoters.
The Scots rockers were due to perform tomorrow (Friday, September 4), as part of a series of live gigs held at Falkirk’s Helix Park.
But just days before their performance, the band posted on social media stating that they would not be appearing due to the promotors being “unable to fulfil their commitments”.
Their statement read: “It is with regret that The Fratellis forthcoming performance at Helix Park, Falkirk on Friday September 4 has now been cancelled.
“Unfortunately, the promoters have been unable to fulfil their commitments to the band to perform and they have had to therefore take the decision not to appear at the event.”
Marking 20 years of Costello Music, The Fratellis were due to headline a special one-off show for Kelpies Live.
One of Scotland’s most iconic live bands, The Fratellis burst onto the scene with their era-defining debut album in September 2006, delivering massive
singalong hits including Chelsea Dagger, Henrietta, Whistle for the Choir and Henrietta.
Kelpies Live debuted last year and was led by Scottish Canals to mark the tenth anniversary of the Kelpies horsehead statues.
